Life Groups

Life Groups are spaces to share life as we seek to be transformed by Jesus and bring goodness to the greater Ann Arbor area. Each group has its own rhythms and personality and provides an opportunity to step out of isolation into beloved community. Groups range in size (anywhere from 5-15 people), meeting frequency, location, and content. To visit a Life Group, click on this resource and reach out to the group leader for details about their next upcoming meeting.

Homeless Ministry

The volunteers of the Homeless Ministry head to Liberty Plaza Park in downtown Ann Arbor for food and fellowship every Friday evening the year where they serve pizza and coffee, and hand out bags of food from 7-8pm. They are an amazing team of people, and it is a humbling and also an enriching experience to serve members of our community suffering from homelessness. Questions or interested in joining? Email Pastor Shaun at shaun.walker@a2communitychurch.org

Children

If you have an affinity for children, our Children’s Ministry welcomes you! Serving in Children’s Ministry is a fabulous way of getting to know children as well as their parents. Our Sunday morning team includes lead teachers and assisting volunteers for babies through fifth graders, as well as supporting roles like monitor, check-in station, and clean-up help. The commitment level can vary from holding a baby once a month to leading a class every week. We also appreciate behind-the-scenes help during the week to get supplies and class materials ready. For opportunities to serve in Children’s Ministry, email our Children's Ministry Director, Barb Hillaker, at barb.hillaker@a2communitychurch.org.

Youth

We aim to provide an environment where our students have a chance to relax and get to know God in a setting that nurtures fun, challenge, and spiritual growth. We meet during the Sunday celebration on the 1st and 3rd Sundays of the month. Questions? Contact Jon Bartholomay at jonbarthol@gmail.com.
